Based in northeast Florida, Maria Daitch is a multi-disciplinary artist with a deep knowledge of both traditional and digital visual mediums. Having a multicultural background and a childhood spent in several countries, Maria has developed a global understanding of communicating through images. She also draws inspiration from nature and language, using her interests in biology and sociology to inform the themes and subjects of her work. Her studio practice includes using charcoal, graphite, ink, pastel, oil and acrylic paints, in addition to printmaking.

In her spare time, Maria enjoys annoying her cats and flinging herself at plastic facsimiles of rock and crags.
